Hot Stamping is the printing process - the embossing, in which the metal film (holographic, shiny) is transferred to the selected material at high temperature. Many materials, such as paper, artificial leather, plastic, metal or fabric, can be used with it. Moreover, the pressed foil practically does not come out of the plane of the substrate and thus becomes its natural part. Hot Stamping can be seen practically daily. Almost every premium product box containing silver or gold text is printed by Hot Stamping using gold or silver foil. Hot Stamp can also been seen on public transport tickets or on credit cards, in the form of a hologram, where a hologram hotplate is being used. Another most common use is for printing the introductory plates of books and diploma theses.
